About your new role

HOBAN are currently seeking skilled administration, office management and business support experts who are interested in working within local, state and federal government agencies as well as seeking to attain positions within well-known companies in the North & West Suburbs of Melbourne and the CBD.

We are seeking candidates who are happy to work in temporary ongoing assignments in either a full-time or part-time capacity with opportunity for contracts and permanent positions a possibility.

HOBAN welcome candidates with transferrable skills and that are seeking a change in career path.

Candidates ideally will have experience in the following duties:


  • Front counter/reception support for the local office including enquiries and guidance in the self-help kiosks.
  • Possess strong Microsoft suite experience including word, excel & outlook
  • Ability to work within the team to be able to effectively support the team as well as managers
  • Provide thorough information and effective support to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work under limited direction to provide administrative support to the business
  • Management of email and appointments- coordination of appointments
  • Undertake a range of data entry responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner
  • Has experience with basic finance tasks such as invoicing, reconciling transactions and debtors management;

Skills and Experience:


  • Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information
  • Be a great communicator and have exceptional organisation skills;
  • Extensive experience in reception, administration and/ or business support roles
  • Effective practices in managing workload priorities
  • Ability to learn new systems & software quickly
  • It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability.
  • Previous experience working for government departments is highly advantageous
