Here is an opportunity to lead and manage the delivery of business, project and program objectives while demonstrating high standards of performance, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.

A key leadership role within the Office of the Commissioner, the Business Services Manager leads business management and compliance functions and takes a lead role in developing and maintaining collaborative business partnerships for the Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability (CES).

The position provides specialist business counsel, strategic advice and leadership to the Commissioner for Environmental Sustainability to ensure the effective management of CES resources, projects and programs and compliance with all requisite business and risk management frameworks.

The position requires superior communication, collaboration, and leadership skills, as well as the experience in leading strategic business and budget management, business planning, reporting processes and a detailed understanding of governmental financial processes and systems.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in human resources, public relations, business management or another relevant degree is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in public sector business management, procurement, risk, and human resource management.
  • Sound judgement including experience in negotiation and consultation at senior levels.
  • In depth understanding of and demonstrated commitment to integrity, probity and ethical conduct.

This is a fixed term position for a period of 18 months.
