The role

As a Procurement Officer within the Commercial team in either Adelaide or Melbourne, you will be responsible for delivering procurement support on predominantly the JP2060 Deployable Health Program as well as a supporting role on a range of projects and corporate functions. You will implement and manage procurement processes in relation to project and company procurement needs, including undertaking market surveys, obtaining quotes and the negotiation, implementation and management of project and corporate orders, contracts and agreements.

Further, as the successful candidate, you will:

  • Manage internal customers, external suppliers, competing priorities, and timely delivery of products, services, and associated artefacts
  • Provide procurement support, including but not limited to:
    • New supplier evaluations
    • Procuring, collating and maintaining supplier information, especially in relation to certifications etc
    • Non-conformance management
    • Project specific procurement status reporting
    • Reporting on procurement ROI, DIFOT, FTR, and other metrics as requested
  • Contribute to project reporting
  • Administer various filing systems – including the configuration management of hard and soft copies
  • Assist in the preparation of responses to tenders and requests for proposals
  • Develop tender documents and assist in tender evaluation
  • Gather and analyse data
  • Assist in the review and updating of commercial policies and procedures

About you

Your skills and experience will include:

  • Sound knowledge of procurement concepts, processes, activities and trends
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Demonstrated commercial negotiation
  • Demonstrated analytical problem solving
  • Implementing contracts and purchase orders
  • Understanding of Australian and US government export control processes
  • A tertiary qualification in commerce, supply chain, engineering or a related discipline (desirable)
  • A health related discipline (desirable)
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant contract law and accounting practices (desirable)

This role will initially be offered on a 12 month fixed term basis and the location can be either our Adelaide or Melbourne office.

As defence security (NV1) clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
