Our client is a software development company located in Subiaco. Wood Recruitment has partnered with them to recruit a Sales Officer. As an essential part of the Sales Team, the Sales Officer will support the Sales Lead in increasing our client’s customer base and ensuring that all new and existing customers have an exceptional customer service experience with the company.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Follow up warm prospects provided by the marketing team (Newsletter, Social Media etc).
  • Being proactive is following up with prospects and converting them to leads (i.e. going through the prospecting spreadsheet regularly and calling without prompting)
  • Call customers (build rapport and manage customer enquiries, complete onboarding
  • calls).
  • Manage incoming sales calls and live chat.
  • Sales Processing – registration, sending onboarding emails and help articles – getting started - ensure phone, email and online enquiries are processed quickly and accurately.
  • Helps with Sales presentations as required (including company showcase).
  • Deliver high level product overview demonstrations to potential customers.
  • Complete customer onboarding calls and check in calls - ensuring a great customer onboarding experience.
  • Maintaining and updating CRM for sales and reporting, ensuring accurate data entry.

What you’ll need:

  • Previous telephone sales experience
  • Confident on the phone.
  • Able to build rapport
  • Exposure to finance, accounts, bookkeeping and/or accounting systems is desirable.
  • Exposure to tax, superannuation, payroll and business legislation is slightly desirable (not a requirement).
  • Exposure to the agricultural
  • Productive and self-motivated.
  • Ability to self-plan their day and week.
  • Proactive in problem solving and asking clarifying questions.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Fast learner.
  • Organised and time efficient.
  • Able to close sales and make cold calls.
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment with many competing demands and challenges.
  • Proof of excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Experience as a problem solver with the ability to challenge business processes.
