An excellent opportunity for an experienced and passionate engineer to take on this crucial role for BOC!

About the role

The purpose of this position is to provide technical engineering support and to drive continuous improvement in the safety, quality, and productivity of the site.

Based at our Canning vale Operations Centre and reporting to the Production Manager, you will primarily be required to support ongoing productivity improvements, improving the performance of current equipment, and providing overall technical engineering support to the site.

Further to this, you will be a passionate individual with a curious mindset looking for ways and providing suggestion on productivity improvements.

Other responsibilities in this role include:

  • Implementing new plant equipment and supporting procedures to maximise the productivity of the site
  • Identify gaps in processes and develop efficient ways of doing things
  • Ensure that customer demand is serviced by the most cost-effective solution for the business
  • Reviews of P&ID, operational procedures, standard time assessment and updates
  • Troubleshooting equipment breakdown, EMOC generation, gas loss analysis
  • Work on equipment failure and fault-finding activities
  • Assist in removing process bottlenecks
To be successful you will have:
  • University degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering
  • Passion for engineering and efficiency development
  • Proven experience in a continuous process environment of related industrial field.
  • Experience in reading engineering P&ID’s and schematics
  • Exposure to Industrial Environment will be a bonus
  • Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills
