About DJ Blackburn Plumbing and Gas

Established in 1996, DJ Blackburn Plumbing and Gas has over 25 years’ experience in an array of domestic, commercial, industrial and hydraulic plumbing services. We are proficient in all types of plumbing, for all types of projects, small to large.

We have a strong team with an organisational structure which include licensed tradesman and apprentices. Our people are our most valuable resource, and we provide all staff with ongoing training to keep them up to date with all current standards, procedures and work place practices.

About the role

We are seeking a 1st to 3rd Plumbing Apprentice to join our team. Ideally, we are seeking someone who is not only looking to undertake an apprenticeship- but is also wanting to continue working with us once qualified.

This opportunity is open to those who are looking to start their plumbing apprenticeship and have completed their pre-apprenticeship, and to those in either their second or third year and looking to re-commence.

We undertake a variety of different projects that has us working across WA as well as the Perth region so the role will have you spending time away from home on occasion. Due to the different clients we have you will also need to obtain a National Police Clearance and a Working with Children check.

This is a full-time apprenticeship.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a genuine interest in the industry with a strong willingness to learn
  • Be punctual, reliable, and hard working
  • Possess a strong ability to work in a team environment
  • Have the flexibility to work away from home
  • Be able to provide a National Police Clearance
  • Have (or be willing to obtain) a Working with Children Check and a White Card
  • Possess a pre-apprenticeship in Plumbing (Certificate II in Plumbing) (for those yet to commence a plumbing apprenticeship)
  • Hold a current manual Driver’s License (highly desirable)
