JOB DESCRIPTION

Student Placement Coordinator – Domestic & Family Violence

The recent forming of a unique partnership with Flinders University, has led to the development of a

Student Placement Program, and a new opportunity for a suitably qualified person to develop and

support student placements across our service.

The Role

This part time opportunity, requires applicants to have some flexibility with days and hours of work.

The Student Placement Coordinator will be required to:

Partner with Flinders University to oversee student placements across our service;

Recruit and on board students, conduct coaching, supervision & placement meetings;

Develop learning plans tailored to student learning requirements and focus areas;

Complete and maintain all placement documentation and records; and

Assist to develop student placement policies, procedures and frameworks.

What you need:

Your experience in similar student support/ coordination roles, and knowledge of the underpinnings of
domestic & family violence work, will guarantee your success. You must also have:

A genuine passion to support student learning through practical experience;

Strong theoretical and legislative knowledge, and experience conducting supervision;

Strong coordination and time management skills;

Effective communications skills and ability to build rapport with students & stakeholders;

Tertiary qualifications in Social Work;

Significant experience within the Domestic & Family Violence or related sector will be highly
regarded.
