The role

An exciting full time permanent opportunity exists for a SAP Business Analyst to work as part of the Group Technology Team located at our Birkenhead site. Reporting to the Group Manager Business Systems, the SAP Business Analyst is responsible for managing the relationship between Group Technology and the business divisions with a strong focus on process improvement within SAP ECC6 working across multiple functions.

You will be part of a high performance team environment with a friendly atmosphere, where you will have the opportunity to be a part of evolving new strategies and processes within the department.

To be successful in the role you will need to be able to develop professional relationships internally and externally, work autonomously and as part of a geographically dispersed team, be able to adapt to changing priorities and work within structured processes and procedures.


  • Collecting business requirements, analysing and accurately documenting business processes
  • Working effectively and collaboratively with business, project and technology teams to create and implement solutions in line with business requirements
  • Be seen as an expert in functional business processes, within SAP applications and other applications as necessary
  • Demonstrating awareness of change management
  • Engaging with the business regularly to understand demand and priorities
  • Identifying and resolving issues in consultation with the required stakeholders
  • Creating and updating functional specifications and process/system documentation
  • Designing, monitoring and performing Quality Assurance testing to ensure accuracy, quality and stability while maximizing performance and scalability

What You Will Need To Succeed
  • Expertise in SAP and other relevant applications. SAP knowledge – Functional expertise in the following modules:- Sales/Distribution (SD) and Logistics Execution (LE), Materials Management (MM) and Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) preferred
  • Strong integration knowledge across organisational business processes and the impact on sales and marketing
  • Proven ability to work as a team player within multifunctional teams
  • Excellent commercial acumen, expert knowledge of Sales, Distribution Logistics processes along with Materials and Inventory Management, ideally within the Building and Construction industry
  • Project methodology knowledge and experience
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to support project delivery lifecycle
  • 5+ years of experience with implementing and/or supporting the following SAP Modules: SD, LE, MM, VIM
