The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV), based in Ascot Vale is a member-based; not-for-profit organisation. RASV enables communities to celebrate and showcase their passion through world-class programs and events, connecting industry with consumer. RASV also manages the Royal Melbourne Show, Victoria’s most iconic annual community event. 

The opportunity:

This position has 2 main responsibilities:

  • Relationship management of Commercial Exhibitors, including supporting the revenue growth of exhibitors and liaising with key contacts during the planning and on-site phases of the Royal Melbourne Show.
  • Relationship management of Showbag & Amusement Operators for Royal Melbourne Show and other RASV events.

Supporting the Commercial and Exhibitor Manager, this position will assist with stakeholder communication and management duties including emailing, CRM management, document updating, invoicing and record keeping.

Key duties include assisting the coordination of the showbag testing process, coordination of privileges, parking, internet, storage, signage and advertising elements for stakeholders and coordinate with operational staff for the safe and effective bump-in/out of Commercial Exhibitors, Amusements & Showbags.

It is vital the this role provide the highest level of customer service and exhibit a willingness to go above and beyond to achieve optimal client satisfaction.

Requirements for success:

  • Strong administrative skills with outstanding attention to detail
  • Customer service experience managing relationships with stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate favourable outcomes for the benefit of the organisation
  • Experience in event management and/or event coordination
  • A sound understanding of risk management principles for events
  • Outstanding time-management and organisation skills with the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines and expectations
  • Excellent communication skills in communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Highly motivated and energetic with the self-confidence to work to tight timeframes in a sometimes-unsupervised environment.
