  • Support the development of the Study Tasmania brand to promote international education as a key services export for the state.
  • Undertake detailed market research, analysis and interpretation of information in relation to international education.
  • Lead a variety of marketing activities and promotions on behalf of Study Tasmania, including onshore and offshore exhibitions, showcases and roadshows and international education agent familiarisation visits.
  • Develop global education marketing material including digital, print, audio-visual, merchandise and public relations collateral.
  • Manage the Study Tasmania website and other digital marketing platforms, ensuring these meet the needs of target audiences and Departmental and Government policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Design and manage a range of projects and activities to support student experience and community engagement in Tasmania.
  • Provide advice to, and liaise with, a range of stakeholders including the education sector, Austrade, Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and other organisations involved in facilitating global education development.
  • Prepare accurate and timely responses to ministerial requests, correspondence and briefs, including the preparation of speech notes, media releases and event briefings, and contribute to strategies and submissions.
  • Perform any other assigned duties at the classification level.

Desirable Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary and/or industry recognised qualifications and affiliations in marketing and communications
  • The ability to converse in a language other than English or demonstrate strong cross cultural understanding
  • A current driver’s licence
