We value our people at Goodman Fielder and recognise that our success depends on our ability to attract and retain talented people. Based in our new Macquarie Park Offices and reporting to the Group Payroll Manager, this position forms a part of the Australia and New Zealand Payroll team.

You will be responsible for:

  • Effective and efficient delivery of all payroll processing on time
  • Calculation and payment of termination payments
  • Resolve payroll queries accurately and in a timely manner
  • Speed and efficiency in process payroll related changes
  • Ensure all audit checks are performed and accurate for all payroll related entries, master data report checking and variance reports
  • Ensure any legislative and compliance changes are understood
  • Act as an escalation point for further identified system issues
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and automation to create efficiencies for processing and customer focussed outcomes
  • Work with HR to maintain an up to date knowledge and understanding of Collective Agreements and Individual Agreements
  • Meet performance levels in accordance with KPI's
  • Escalate issues as necessary to ensure a seamless customer experience on more complex calculations.
  • Ensure best practise and work consistently to improve efficiencies and processes
  • Working with the team to deliver improvement, streamlining and automation of processes across payroll

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Demonstrated ability and experience in end-to- end payroll processing
  • Minimum 2 years experience working with SAP
  • Kronos knowledge and understanding
  • Advanced knowledge of Australia and New Zealand payroll legislation.
  • Understanding of technical and compliance related payroll matters
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as an effective team member
  • Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for liaising with employees, payroll contacts, business leaders and external parties
  • High level organisational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively;
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral;
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills with an innovative and creative approach
  • Action oriented and with ability to deliver with a sense of urgency.
