Immediate start required for a CA/Procurement Officer to join a global renewable energy EPC company during an exciting period of project delivery

Contract Admin/Procurement Officer – Brisbane – Renewable Energy – Contract

About the Company
This company is a global leader in the development and EPC construction of utility and large industrial hybrid renewable energy projects. Driven by the increasing demand for utility-scale Photovoltaic systems in both the off-grid and on-grid segments, they are expanding the development and EPC support team within Australia.

About the Role
You will be responsible for administering supplier and sub contractor contracts that formulate part of the EPC delivery for a large off grid hybrid solar PV project that is located on a mine site in regional WA. You will work collaboratively with the project manager and site construction team and will report through to the commercial function within the broader business.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager. Liaise with the project team on all matters related to projects (e.g. procurement, logistics and contractors) and matters related to contract payment schedules, progress claims and invoicing.
  • Manage supplier/ subcontractor deliverables and relationships
  • Prepare and maintain supplier/ subcontractor database, including cost and product development roadmap
  • Prepare and maintain supplier/ subcontractor commercial evaluation criteria

Skills & Experience
  • At least 5 years’ experience in contract administration within an energy / resources / infrastructure project environment
  • Proficient in administering standard form or proprietary contracts
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in order to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders within a matrix organisation
  • Strong negotiation skills and successful at relationship building across a broad range of levels
  • Team player with exceptional communication skills, a self-starter with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for renewable energies

Desirable attributes
  • Experience working in an international matrix organisational structure
  • Renewable energy experience, in particular, solar PV
  • Experience in EPC/ EPCM environment
