Rostering and Payroll Coordinator

Located in Bicton, Carinya Care Services has been caring for elderly West Australian’s for over 50 years. As a family run business, everything our dedicated team do is built on care and compassion, with the resident at the heart and soul of our person-centered care model.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll and Rostering professional to join our successful and passionate ‘family’. Reporting to our Business Finance Manager, this role will deliver an exceptional service to the business, providing accurate and timely functions along with coordinating and maintaining staff rosters.

This is a varied role, offering a unique blend of both Payroll and Rostering functions, we are therefore looking for someone that is well versed across both areas and has the attitude and ability to fit within our small team. You will be friendly, engaging have a natural helpful manner with a great can-do attitude!

Key Responsibilities:

· Process end to end fortnightly payroll for approximately 170 staff, meeting agreed timelines and quality standards

· Initial point of contact for payroll queries and request for information along with analysing, preparing and processing information such as leave, superannuation.

· Interpreting agreements and in relation to overtime and shift allowances etc

· Assisting with month end consolidation and year-end processes such as payroll tax, payment summary reconciliations as required

· Using Care Systems (designated Aged Care management system) to create and manage rosters across the business.

· Ensuring the most effective allocation of staff to meet client needs and compliance with EBA.

· Quickly respond to staff absences to ensure staff allocation is achieved.

· Identify vacancies and gaps in workforce resourcing and capacity and working with Human Resources to proactively manage solutions.

· Work closely and collaboratively with HR to ensure that all contractual responsibilities are maintained.

The Skills, Knowledge and Experience required:

· Minimum 3 years payroll experience (ideally within the Aged Care sector).

· Demonstrated experience with Care Systems from a Payroll and Rostering perspective (desirable).

· Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply Enterprise Agreements and legislative regulations relating to payroll

· Preparation and processing of end-to-end payroll ensuring delivery of accurate and timely payments to staff

· Demonstrated experience in a scheduling or rostering position in Aged Care/Hospital setting

· Ability to prioritise a varied workload and meet deadlines in a busy environment

· Exceptional customer services ethos, with a focus on meeting deadlines, quality and accuracy

· High degree of computer proficiency- is efficient in the use of technology and software and the ability to utilise multiple systems effectively and comprehensively.

· Attention to detail and an ability to effectively manage your time.

· Intermediate level of excel skills
