In 2018 the DHCRC was awarded $55 million in Commonwealth funding over seven years. This funding is supplemented by contributions from industry, university and government agency Participants.

Your new role

The Communications and Marketing Specialist is a newly created position, reporting to the Head of Communications and Marketing. You will be responsible for contributing to the development of a strategic communications and plan including campaign development, and execution.

The role will have a strong focus on content generation, where you will create compelling content and key messaging across both digital and traditional channels. You will continually promote brand awareness of the DHCRC and the integral work they do, whilst they work towards becoming Australia’s leading digital health organisation through compelling messaging.

As someone with a high level of initiative and drive, you will devise and implement a digital marketing strategy and manage all social media channels on behalf of DHCRC. You will write, and distribute e-newsletters, and update web content, as well as undertake graphic design work as required. Working closely with the team of Program Managers ensuring you understand, consult around expectations, and deliver on marcomms requirements for priority projects.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this role, you will have:

· Degree in marketing, public relations, communications or a related discipline or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience

· Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including senior academics and business and government officials

· Demonstrated ability to write high quality communications and to tailor writing style for different audiences

· High level oral and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills

· Well-developed project management skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail and to meet deadlines

· Broad experience in digital marketing, social media account management, MailChimp, YouTube, SEO, Google and social media analytics

· Experience in website CMS platforms, maintenance and analytics

· Ability to take highly technical information and adapt into engaging and concise content

· Graphic design skills – for the creation of social media graphic and basic report design

· Advanced knowledge of standard MS Office software
