We are on the look out for a Head of Banking Operations to manage the team to provide customer centric support and service to our personal loans customers.


The role has significant levels of responsibility and accountability for operational delivery across customer onboarding, credit decisioning, verification and settlements, customer service, payments and reconciliation, recoveries and hardship, and fraud management.


The Head of Banking Operations will be responsible for building and operationalising the end to end functions including identifying, developing, and implementing all cross functional workflows and processes to consistently achieve customer, productivity, and strategic objectives.


The Head of Banking Operations will lead the function and look for ongoing opportunities for performance improvements and efficiencies for optimum customer service. You will be responsible for building, leading, and developing all teams which sit within Banking Operations, setting strategy, key metrics, and ensuring delivery of the customer value proposition whilst adhering to risk and compliance obligations.


You will have:


  • 7-10 years of work experience in Banking or Finance industry
  • Demonstrated success in managing an operations team
  • Bachelor’s degree essential, post graduate degree desirable
  • Advanced computer skills (Windows environment) with a strong working knowledge of SAP and Excel
  • Experience managing complex projects
  • Strong strategic and customer focus with a clear understanding of the wider issues impacting the relevant markets.
  • Proven Management and/or relationship management experience at a senior, strategic level role
  • Established track record of exceeding targets, KPI’s SLA’s, in a quality led, legislative compliant environment
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and communicate with others at all levels
  • Influential relationships skills at all. Able to use these relationships to deliver service improvements
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Able to adapt and succeed in a changing environment
  • Evidence of well-developed leadership skills.
  • Meeting other Fit and Proper Requirements for a Responsible person as set out by APRA, including those relating to character
