JOB DESCRIPTION

QIT Plus is seeking the services of an experienced Web Administrator to join their team on an immediate start based in Whitsunday, Queensland. Core requirements of the role will include, updating, managing and overseeing a number of their direct customer facing websites which includes creating the content and communications that are included in the portals.

The Web Administrator will provide technical oversight and validation numbers activities of company website products. Responsibilities will include managing the performance, usability, scalability, reliability, and security needs of products. The Web Administrator must possess technical experience which can be leveraged to contribute to the vision, strategy, and roadmap for system management within the organization. In addition, this role will perform tasks including configuring, maintaining, and managing all web base products within QIT Plus. Regular work involves administration and maintenance of disaster dashboards and Guardian IMS.

Ideal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with development teams to discuss, analyse, or resolve usability issues.

Identify or address interoperability requirements.

  • Track, compile, and analyse web site usage data.

Document application and web site changes or change procedures.
Develop or document style guidelines for web site content.

  • Test new software packages for use in web operations or other applications.

Develop or implement procedures for ongoing web site revision.
Set up or maintain monitoring tools on web servers or web sites.

  • Test backup or recovery plans regularly and resolve any problems.

Document installation or configuration procedures to allow maintenance and repetition.
Recommend web site improvements

  • Inform web site users of problems, problem resolutions or application changes and updates.
  • Perform user testing or usage analyses to determine web sites' effectiveness or usability.
  • Correct testing-identified problems or recommend actions for their resolution.

Develop testing routines and procedures.

Requirements & Skills:

  • Bachelor of IT, or qualification deemed acceptable by ACS (Australian Computer Society)
  • Three to five (3-5) year’s experience in front end technologies such as bootstrap, js etc.
  • Experience in debugging website, including debugging java script.
  • Three to five (3-5) year’s experience in building different levels of testcases: unit test, system integration test, smoke test, user acceptance test.
  • Experience load and stress testing infrastructure and website
  • Experience working closely with application owners and engineering teams with a focus on meeting client expectations
  • Experience with cloud architecture (AWS)
  • Proficiency in diagnosing complex application performance issues
  • Proficiency deploying .NET applications in Microsoft IIS
