HSEQ Advisor

A Rockhampton well-established engineering company is looking for someone to help take there company to the next stage supporting the owns and superintendent move the business to electronic systems and win tenders. This position would suit someone seeking a work-life balance and lead the business through change.

Your duties will be to support the business in HSEQ matters at the factory and on sites and may include;

  • Assisting with the implementation of the HSEQ plans & strategies
  • Reporting hazards & incidents, including injury return to work management
  • Supporting the staff awareness of OHS responsibilities
  • Monitor compliance with workplace policies, etc.
  • Assist in tender preparation and submissions around HSEQ reequipments
  • Prepare HSE training information such as inductions and toolbox sessions and present as scheduled
  • Complete required documentation and ITP's preparation and monitoring
  • Monitor compliance and Quality Assurance documents
  • Coordinate the maintenance of HSE equipment, including but not limited to emergency response equipment (extinguishers, first aid kits) and calibrated equipment with records maintained electronically via SkyTrust
  • Managing incident investigations and providing assistance in leading, drafting and presenting reports
  • Conducting risk assessments, audits and inspections of site work activities and conditions

RequirementsWhilst technical experience is of importance to us, to be considered for our future position, you will have:

  • Experience in manufacturing and construction HSEQ advisory positions
  • Minimum 3 years experience in providing WHS & QA support & advice
  • Experience in managing multiple stakeholder relationships, effectively
  • Technical WHS & QA knowledge and an understanding of Legislation, Regulations, COPs and Australian Standards.
  • Cert IV WHS (min) Diploma qualifications (desirable)
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (desirable)
  • Excellent communication skills, verbally and written
  • Exposure to Skytrust HSEQ software (desirable)
  • Microsoft Suite ability - Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Drug and alcohol testing trained (desired)
  • C Drivers licence (manual)
  • HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
