Chefs Pantry is a fresh food production kitchen that produces quality fresh-cut vegetables, salads, soups, sauces and bulk meals to food-service and food manufacturers.

We are seeking a driven qualified Production Chef to join our team and be a part of our growth strategy. This is a semi-autonomous role as you will be responsible for the daily production schedule and weekly planning of product manufacture including new product development. You will have experience working as a wholesale chef or experience in a food manufacturing environment.

The position requires someone who is passionate, creative and hands-on to help our production operations. You will bring to the team a positive attitude and be ambitious and supportive. You will have a keen eye for detail in a fast-paced, demanding yet rewarding role.

You will be responsible for:

Ensuring and maintaining the highest levels of standards for all products.

Work with our head chef - manage kitchen operations.

Bulk cooking and manufacturing of sauces, meals, dressings & dips etc.

Be involved in New Product Development

Inventory control

Meet production schedule requirements.

Providing training, direction and leadership in the kitchen.

Worked with and have a clear understanding of HACCP guidelines. inc Clean and organise kitchen and equipment in adherence to hygiene and safety regulations.


Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years in large volume commercial kitchen environment or similar role (production kitchen experience preferred), along with;

Appropriate culinary qualifications

Worked with and have a clear understanding of HACCP guidelines and reporting.

Passionate about what you do and take pride in it.

Maintain a positive and professional attitude.

Proven leader with ability to encourage and influence staff with varying experience


Work is Monday to Friday (day shift) no nights.

Location Braeside, Melbourne.

Day shift early start – early finish, No weekends

Supplementary Pay:

Chef: 3 years (Commercial experienced Preferred)

Permitted to work permanently with no restriction on hours (e.g. citizen, permanent resident) (Required)

Commercial Cookery Qualification:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (Preferred)
