An exciting opportunity exists for an Assistant Marketing Manager to join the Consumer Cards Customer Lifecycle Marketing team, focusing on Customer Growth and driving profitability and engagement across the entire Proprietary Card Services portfolio.

This critical marketing role is responsible for the strategic development and customer engagement across lending initiatives (e.g. line increase and promotional offers), customer acquisition campaigns and customer product usage.

Reporting to the Manager, Customer Growth Marketing, this role will suit someone who enjoys a diverse, fast-paced, and results-driven environment. Offering a high level of exposure across the business and management of multiple marketing channels, this role requires effective communication and collaboration across multiple local and international teams and stakeholders

Key Accountabilities Of The Role Include

  • Manage existing portfolio of lending features and treatments (e.g., line increase, promotional pricing) driving lending engagement through data driven, customer focused, actionable marketing strategies.
  • Create, manage and experiment with customer acquisition campaigns and customer product usage initiatives;
  • Lead and own end-to-end marketing campaigns across multiple channels including Email, Direct Mails, owned and paid media.
  • Partner closely with and influence key functional and execution teams, including Product Management, Marketing, Risk, Finance, Technologies, GCO, Compliance, Enterprise Digital and Operations.
  • Understand and provide insights regarding treatment effectiveness and overall profitability of new and existing strategies to support business growth.
  • Manage key agencies from initial briefing, creative concepting to execution. Oversee the creation of Marketing Assets and collaterals (Digital, Videos and Landing pages)
  • Manage and develop direct report empowering their success and influencing their work to drive performance across all aspects of the channel.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Marketing / business tertiary qualifications with 3+ years experience in marketing
  • Digital and direct marketing and campaign management skillset
  • Solution-oriented individual with ability to develop solutions to complex issues
  • Strong communicator with experience managing multiple stakeholder relationships
  • Budget management experience
  • Positive and energetic attitude
  • Must be a team player and customer advocate
  • Knowledge of American Express Cards, services and benefits, and/or understanding of the Financial Services Industry viewed favourably
