Varsity is currently hiring a full-time Assistant Kitchen Manager to join our Nedlands team.

The Skills You'll Need:

  • The ability to control and manage the general operation of the kitchen.
  • Build and maintain a high-performance culture.
  • Monitoring overall staffing costs.
  • Assist with hiring, training, and dismissing staff (kitchen staff).
  • Maintain a positive team culture with a strong pool of talent within your crew.
  • Train staff and managers and staff about company policies, service standards, emergency procedures, and products.
  • Enforce company policies, staff policies, and service standards.
  • Conduct and, or supervising the ordering process and managing COG’s
  • Managing general maintenance of the kitchen and the back of house areas.

The Experience You'll Have:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years experience in a senior management role
  • A sound understanding of BOH operations.
  • Ability to supervise operations in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to build, lead, train, and motivate a team.
  • Passionate hospitality professional.
  • Strong leadership skills and an ability to create and maintain a culture of service excellence.
  • A sound understanding of the costs involved with the management of a successful business.
