The role

FBG works closely with organisations around issues of culture, leadership and taking a strategic approach to organisational mental health and wellbeing, bringing different perspectives and thought leadership. We deliver our recognised services to a variety of organisations within Government (Federal, State and Local), Not-for-Profit sector as well as the private sector.

As the General Manager (GM) of Organisational Consulting at FBG (part of the global APM Group), based in Melbourne, you will contribute to a strong leadership team driving growth and development through high performance and successful outcomes. A multifaceted role that involves executive leadership, business development and client facing responsibilities in a fast-paced team environment. You will lead a team of Psychologists and Consultants, deliver complex projects to clients, and can expect to be “up front” with a range of audiences daily.


To be successful in this role…

You are approachable, enjoy engaging with your people and are genuinely intrigued and passionate about Organisational Consulting and Wellbeing. You will have plenty of memorable stories and anecdotes to share as well as experiences where you have worked effectively with challenging stakeholders. You will have honed your communication and leadership skills while managing a team of highly experienced Psychologists and Consultants. You are effective managing your time with conflicting priorities and understand what’s required to get critical tasks completed. You will know the true meaning of satisfaction of a job well done.

About you:

  • Qualification in Psychology or equivalent post graduate qualification (e.g. Organisational Psychology)
  • Significant track record in Organisational Development Consulting
  • Experience managing a portfolio of complex clients
  • Experience leading teams and high volume projects
  • Adept in report writing, proposals and tender responses
  • Delivered countless workshops to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated success in an operational executive role with P&L accountability ($3m +)
