Boral is looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join the North Ryde team.

As our Payroll Officer, you will be dedicated to one of our business units processing a weekly wage payroll and our national workers compensation payments and adjustments. As a collaborative, customer focused operator, you will maintain a high, proactive level of customer service to deliver success and ensure pay runs are processed within EA and award timeframes.

As the primary contact for payroll related enquiries for the business unit, you will have your finger on the pulse and possess an in-depth, intricate knowledge of relevant Award’s / EA’s and payroll and workers compensation legislative requirements with payroll experience developed in large, complex organisations.

Key Requirements

of this hands-on position include
  • Conduct all payroll related activities
  • To act as point of contact within the business for payroll related queries
  • Ensure all payroll issues raised are resolved
  • Effective data entry, review and signoff of employee master-file maintenance, such as employee addresses, positions, salary details, tax details, banking details, allowances, super and deductions
  • Review of Termination payments and records
  • Process workers comp payments while working with relevant teams and insurers to confirm details
Your skills and attributes will include
  • Broad based knowledge of payroll legislation and principles
  • Experience with Chris 21 and Kronos
  • Competency in MS Office applications
  • An analytical mind, detail focus and action oriented
  • Customer focus, open communicator
  • Works collaboratively, is approachable and enjoys working in a team environment
  • Experience in PIAWE calculations and workers compensation payments and adjustments
