It is an exciting time to be a part of Jobfit Health Group - 25 years in business and we are growing at a rapid rate due to the winning of major contracts throughout Australia.

On an annual basis, Jobfit Health Group is contracted to provide pre-employment medicals and rail medicals for a project that is held in rural locations throughout South Australia during the months of August through to October.

The Medical Technician works alongside an Occupational Health Nurse to conduct assessments comprising of components of a pre-employment medical. A typical day involves 16 medicals, scheduled between 8am to 5pm, with some set up and pack down time outside of these hours which will result in a start time of 7am and a finish time of approx. 6pm. Clinic days are weekdays only, but some weekend travel may be required.

The role would suit Enrolled Nurses, Exercise Physiologists or Medical Screeners who are able to work autonomously and are available during the months of August through to October. Training will be provided in July prior to the commencement of the project.

Flights, accommodation and car hire will be arranged and paid for by Jobfit Health Group.

  • Manage allocated administrative and service tasks including concise and accurate documentation of all relevant findings, and ensuring timeframes and schedules are adhered to.
  • Components of a pre-employment medical - height, weight, Body Mass Index (BMI), vision (near, distant and colour), Blood Pressure, and Drug and Alcohol testing.
  • Follow protocols and processes as outlined by Jobfit Health Group and the client for the project.
  • Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Comply with privacy and confidentiality principles to all work practices including the company's policies and procedures.
  • Ensure at all times the highest level of customer service via optimal communication, presentation and professional expertise.
  • Recognise and uphold the rights of all candidates accessing services, including maintaining cultural sensitivity.
  • Previous experience as an Enrolled Nurse, Exercise Physiologist or Medical Screener preferred.
  • If an Enrolled Nurse, current nursing registration with AHPRA.
  • Current Australian drivers licence.
  • Ability to travel remotely in South Australia.
  • Previous experience conducting medical assessments well regarded.
  • Qualifications and experience in drug and alcohol assessments desirable.
  • Ability to deliver services in a manner consistent with the requirements of the client and/or the service agreement between Jobfit and the client.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to best practice.
