Our Sunshine Coast Community Aged and Disability team provides support and services that enable our clients to maintain their independence - living happily and healthily within their own homes.

We recognize that one size does not fit all and working together is the key to great outcomes. We are currently looking for a passionate and caring Social Worker to join us on a Part-Timebasis. Please note travel across the Sunshine Coast region will be required.

Our next Social Worker will be responsible for engaging in the provision of clinical services in the area of social work to our many, varied clients as well as providing individual counseling on matters involving relationships, grief and loss, accessing services, advocacy, complex family situations, and other situations. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is after a challenging but highly rewarding role.

Skills and Experience

With a background within Community Services, Aged Care or Disabilities sectors, you will offer the following experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide a high standard of social work service in a community setting, to the elderly, the younger disabled and their carers.
  • Demonstrated well-developed written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a community-based multidisciplinary team environment, including the capacity to negotiate with a range of stakeholders, operate flexibly, and have the capacity to problem-solve.
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and consistently meet deadlines by utilizing strong organizational and caseload management skills.
  • Ability to provide an understanding of quality processes and standards in a clinical setting.
You will need to have:
  • Current National Police Certificate
  • Current Blue Card
  • NDIS screening clearance
  • Current Queensland Drivers Licence
  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent that would be recognized by, and allow for eligibility for membership with, the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • First Aid Certificate with CPR
  • Reliable motor vehicle
