This is a national company of urban planning specialists providing advice and services in strategic planning, statutory planning, integrated land use and transport planning and urban analytics.

Favouring balance between human needs and the natural environment, they provide practical, economically viable and sustainable advice and development services to private sector and government clients.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

We are recruiting for a Town Planner which will provide an exciting opportunity for energetic and self-motivated person to work on a range of projects across metropolitan Sydney and regional NSW, with a focus on large scale transformational projects.

KEY AREAS OF THE ROLE.

  • Statutory planning and development advisory
  • Strategic planning, rezonings and development advisory
  • Integrated land use and transport
  • Policy and urban analytics
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES.
  • Employ a thorough understanding of statutory, strategic and land use planning principles at a strategic and technical level to provide practical and expert planning advice to clients and the project team
  • Provide high-quality deliverables across all three business areas including but not limited to Planning Proposals, Statement of Environmental Effects, Strategic Planning Reports, Clause 4.6 Variations
  • Prepare, or manage the preparation of high quality planning reports.
  • Direct contact with senior government agency staff.
  • Ability to attend and represent the company as a key team leader at client workshops/meetings and provide advice on planning matters, GIS analysis, mapping and graphic design
  • Direct and independent contact with senior government agency staff (Council, DPE etc) to progress planning applications
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
  • Degree qualified in relevant discipline
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Around 2-4 years experience
  • Experience in both private and public planning roles preferred
  • Confidence in decision making and ability to work independently
  • Australian citizen or appropriate work visa
  • Commitment to workplace equality and environmental sustainability
