The Office of Strategy and Planning Team

The Office of Strategy and Planning team works collaboratively across the organisation to provide strategic analysis, insights and recommendations to facilitate improved performance, decision-making and innovation across the University.

About the role:

We are seeking a Market Analyst with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to solve complex business problems. This opportunity would suit a customer-oriented individual who thrives working in a collaborative and positive culture. The role provides exposure to all areas of the University and reports to the Director Strategy, Performance and Market Analysis.

In this role you will:
  • Undertake market reviews and scans to understand customer behaviour, inform pricing and targeting decisions, and influence new product development.
  • Analyse, interpret and model datasets to support market reviews and strategic planning activities.
  • Support strategic planning activities across the University.
  • Undertake strategic projects and collaborate on cross-functional projects.
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities to facilitate improved service delivery and customer experience.

  • A degree in commerce, business or a quantitative discipline with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse large datasets as well as a strong attention to detail.

  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills to deliver insights and recommendations tailored to the audience.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work on varied projects.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively to meet priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
