We are busy, very busy in fact and need a hard-working, unflappable person to join our unique engineering firm in West Perth. We are a little different from most in that we genuinely love our jobs and the business we work for therefore we give 120% to our roles, clients and the organisation. This is a successful and well-respected business; some of the staff have been here for over twenty years and are invested in seeing it continue to succeed.

If you are looking for a standard role that you can come, do and leave, then we are not for you. We need someone who can commit to us for the long haul, that can roll up their sleeves and just pick up stuff that we didn’t even realise we needed and get it done! Goalposts move frequently and you need to be able to cope with change and adapt quickly to keep up. This role will make you a better administrator; it will test you in ways you have not considered!

We are multi-generational, multicultural and work with clients from Joe Ordinary to Industry leaders; you need to be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with them and internally with our team.

Whilst some duties are the everyday reception and admin related tasks, some interesting and varied duties will take your scope out of the mundane stuff and allow for you to become invested in the business as well. There are opportunities to learn new skills and if you have some exposure or basic knowledge of Xero, that will allow your scope to open to further duties as well.

For you to be successful in this role, we are seeking a person who has experience within an office environment preferably engineering but this is not critical. We are looking for the right person, not the right resume! You could have six months or six years’ experience but please come to us with no ego and a willingness to support the team. All the basic stuff applies though, you must have the legal right to work permanently in Australia and have some experience within an Australian business. You will need experience with MS Suite of software’s and have a professional and approachable manner whilst being able to juggle priorities, tasks and personalities.

This role will be from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. We are accessible by public transport (train –10 minute walk or 5-minute sprint if you are running late) and very close to the CAT bus system.
