Role: Project Officer (until 31 December 2021)

Position Summary:

The Project Officer will provide direct support to a Portfolio Lead and Senior Project Officer across high-volume recruitment, mobility and onboarding activities. They will support the COVID-19 Public Health Division with undertaking business-related on-boarding and off-boarding activities for new employees commencing within the COVID-19 Public Health Division.

Responsibilitites: 

  • Provide high-level coordination and administration of all staff movements coming into or out of the COVID-19 Public Health Division (up to 40-60 people per week)
  • Provide first level response to candidate or customer enquiries as they relate to the business areas
  • Ensure new employees to the COVID-19 Public Health Division are supported throughout their induction through effective communications, undertaking induction planning, room bookings, sending of any pre-reading materials.
  • Working collaboratively with the Department's People and Culture team to ensure all new starters have completed their Safety Screening Forms, Confidentiality Agreements and employment contracts are returned to the department.
  • Ensure all relevant IT access to DHHS systems has been established prior to their first day, including the ordering of any devices the employee may require.
  • Ensure building passes, headsets and other items required for day 1 are ready and available.
  • Ensure the employee is successfully set up in the Department's rostering systems and understand the department Payroll processes.
  • Provide support to People Leaders to off-board staff as required and that all Departmental Assets are returned, reassigned to new staff as required and system access has been removed.
  • Draft and write job cards for any new roles that may be created within the COVID-19 Public Health Division.
  • Other activities as directed by the Portfolio Lead and Senior Project Officer.
  • Assist Portfolio Lead and Senior Project Officer with SAP queries.
