Seeking experienced commercial solar BDM for leading Australian renewable energy company

The company

My client is a well established Australian renewable energy business with a team of experts in solar operating across Australia. They are a solutions and outcomes based business offering well-engineered solar solutions to help commercial and industrial clients to optimise their electricity usage and save on their electricity bills while giving back to the environment and focusing on their impact through renewable energy consumption.

The role

You will expand the company's market share by converting leads into sales by using various lead generating efforts. You will develop and promote strategies for their cutting-edge panel products to commercial customers. In return, you will be provided with strong engineering and administrative support to be able to achieve the results you want.

3 x Positions in Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure new commercial or industrial clients
  • Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with key accounts
  • Oversee existing accounts and maximise future growth opportunities
  • Establish sales strategies
  • Provide regular feedback to management relating to competitor activity and other ad-hoc reporting
  • Represent the business at trade shows and exhibitions
  • Create presentations and deliver to customers the value of their capital investment
  • Produce and submit project proposals
  • Communicate with internal departments to deliver exceptional customer service to all customers
  • Carry out regular on-site visits to key accounts
  • Assist with maintaining an up-to-date CRM database

Requirements for this role

Previous B2B sales experience in the solar industry or Microgrid with battery storage is essential. Applicants without this experience will not progress.

  • Australian Citizen of Permanent Resident
  • Previous experience working with Australian Solar Companies
  • A passion for renewable energy
  • Confidence and proven experience of exceeding sales targets of 3 - 5 million pa
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to present to and influence people at different levels
