The sourcing team within DELWP leads the department's professional sourcing practice, and is at the forefront of the movement of the procurement function to a more sophisticated and commercial sourcing function. The senior sourcing specialist position will provide the incumbent with the opportunity for professional growth and development, and the opportunity to contribute to strategic reform of sourcing practice within the organisation.

Candidates should demonstrate flexibility, professionalism and a willingness to drive and participate in high quality strategic procurement activities. This will require attention to detail and a commitment to delivering procurement projects according to tight project schedules for internal stakeholders with unique business requirements. Previous experience and skills in professional project delivery will be highly regarded, as will a strong service orientation and stakeholder management focus.

Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant discipline is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement practices and procedures, including demonstrated capacity to understand and apply the Victorian Government Purchasing Board guidelines.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an end-to-end sourcing function.

These are fixed term positions available for a period of 12 months.
