The Team Leader, Housing Advice and Assistance directly manages the operational, planning, coordination and delivery of quality housing services across the Central Highlands Area through management and providing leadership and direction to the Housing and Assistance Team.

Based in the Ballarat Office, the role undertakes a range of tasks relating to the provision of housing advice and assistance that may include:

  • Providing support and information on public housing and other support services
  • Identifying and assessing Victorians' housing needs and their eligibility for services
  • Allocating rental properties to eligible applicants
  • Visiting and working with tenants to resolve tenancy issues
  • Ensuring maintenance work is carried out on tenants' homes

  • Able to provide management, leadership and support to a team to deliver a quality client service?
  • Able to resolve complex and challenging problems associated with client needs and housing tenancies?
  • Experienced in identifying emerging service delivery issues and areas of risk for operational housing services?
