JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Intermediary between Sales & Marketing and various functions within the Supply Chain
  • Responsible for all aspects of master data required to perform statistical forecasting in the SAP ERP system (e.g. corrected history, forecast uploads, data extractions)
  • Responsible for making sure that all sales area managers enrich the forecast in time as per the ANZ planning Calendar
  • Consolidates sales & promotions data after critiquing sales input whenever appropriate through regular meetings and governance forums
  • Builds monthly forecast using statistical tool and additional market information
  • Resolves operational issues based on latest information from Sales & marketing.
  • Identify and communicate abnormal demands
  • Raises the issues that need to be addressed to meet the demand and assists in resolving potential gaps between unconstrained demand plan and the supply plan on the monthly S&OP meeting
  • Provides feedback to management on forecast accuracy. Monitors actual performance to plan and communicates or intervenes as appropriate
  • Agree with Sales ways to reduce overstocks and manage Gross and Aged Inventory to budget including deletion of agreed SKU’s
  • Support product rationalization activities with alignment to other Diversey functions
  • Manage regional projects/promotions - total ANZ sales forecast and assure timely stock transfer to appropriate branch:
    • Owns S&OP process
    • Manages step reviews
    • Measures the process
    • Matures the process
  • Adherence to the Planning Processes and Procedures (Planning Calendar)
  • Facilitates all reviews to start - process control
  • Runs Integrated Reconciliation and Senior Management Review steps
  • Attends all reviews - captures input
  • Understands business strategy and aligns S&OP process to suit
  • Manages Key relationships
  • MD: conducts regular updates on implementation process, leverage influence to improve or speed-up implementation
  • Board: work with to gain understanding business needs and viability of proposals; persuade to accept solutions, addresses concerns
  • Senior Management: provides training and coaching, communicates S&OP implementation decisions, handle concerns
  • Governs all aspects of Inventory management through agreed forums and management meetings locally, regionally and globally as required.
  • Attends all Regional and Global relevant conference calls

PROBLEM SOLVING:

  • Able to manage relationships between different divisions with competing priorities, such as Marketing , Sales and Supply Chain;
  • Ability to motivate and gain other team member's involvement and trust
  • Ability to challenge other sections and processes, such as Sales & Marketing and Supply planning

Other and/or Site:

  • Ensure compliance to company policy including business ethics policy, Employee Health and Safety policy and guidelines, car policy, travel and expense policy, mobile phone policy etc.
  • If driving a company motor vehicle ensure the vehicle is operated and serviced within the company car policy guidelines.
  • Comply with travel and expense policy, policy for use for mobile phones, computers and all other company assets in the possession of the employee.
