About the opportunity

Working as part of a specialist project team to support the successful implementation & integration of the new aged care standards, in line with the organisations new person-centred Aged Care Model across all residential and community services nationwide.

This is a 6-month fixed term contract for a clinical nurse consultant specialising in Mental Health. Due to the nature of this role travel is required throughout Australia.

As a registered nurse specialised in Mental Health, you will lead, develop and grow the clinical team members across both residential & community services through education and clinical supervision. Ensuring the mental health of residents/clients is considered during provision of care.

Duties

  • Coordinate, implement & evaluate new person-centred model of care
  • Drive clinical leadership of complex care needs
  • Support optimal health outcomes across residential & community
  • Initiate clinical advice & direction to residents & staff
  • Coordinate education & clinical supervision of staff

Skills and Experience

  • AHPRA Registered Nurse
  • Post graduate qualifications in aged care, mental health or equivalent
  • Up to date knowledge of accreditation standards
  • Experience with the education of clinical teams
  • Involvement in person centred care planning
  • Understanding of client case management
