About the Opportunity:

As the consultant Rheumatologist, be the subject matter expert across musculoskeletal and autoimmune conditions. Participate in training, CPD, projects and research in line with your role as a Staff Specialist.

This Staff Specialist Rheumatologist position is based in regional NSW. Full time position.

This position is based in a large inland city in regional NSW, with excellent facilities designed to support palliative care in the area. They are seeking a permanent full time appointment however are open to discussion about what you would like your involvement to be.

About the Hospital:

This 100 bed private hospital is known for providing specialised acute care for surgical patients. Comprehensive maternity, drug & alcohol supports, oncology, palliative care, critical care and many other specialist groups are on site, helping the community across a broad range of medical conditions.

Dermatology, cardiology, neurology, nephrology, rehabilitation medicine, endocrinology, haematology, gastroenterology & respiratory are also represented primarily by full-time specialist staff and a small portion of VMO assistance.

There is a growing educational presence with strong education programs for 3rd and 4th year medical students. Excellence in medical training, patient care and partnerships with medical networks.

Skills and Experience:

  • AHPRA registration
  • Fellowship with Royal Australian College of Physicians
  • Additional subspecialty expertise in Rheumatology
  • Excellent communication skills and empathic practice for a patient's care journey
