THE OPPORTUNITY

We have a new opening at ASG Group for a Strategic Solutions Manager (Pre-Sales).

The role is responsible for translating client requirements into solutions that ASG, either by itself or with partners, can deliver at a price that is competitive in the marketplace and that are clearly differentiated in terms of value for money. Further role details:

  • Work with the regional sales teams during pre-qualification and qualification sales cycle including client visits and completing internal processes. Responsible for ensuring broader opportunities not just immediate prospects are identified.
  • Own end to end solution and oversee bid management, pricing and tender response for assigned opportunities. Ensuring ‘ASG Way’ solutions are utilised as default.
  • Work with account managers to provide presales and solutions for contract renewals and large project/contract changes.
  • Run due diligence / BAFO processes in conjunction with the sales lead and commercial manager for shortlisted opportunities, ensure smooth handover to account manager.
  • Ensure re-usability, consistency and quality of presales/solutions materials.
  • Provide relevant industry expertise during the sales cycle to support the SSG. 


DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 10 years presales or consulting experience in an ICT related area
  • Preferable experience with Infrastructure Managed Services, Cloud technologies including AWS Azure or other IaaS/PaaS offering.
  • Experience responding tenders, RFI’s RFPS and proposal development
  • Demonstrated business acumen so that ICT initiatives can be communicated to clients in business terms
  • Participate closely in large-scale and complicated presales cases to ensure delivery feasibility
  • Conducts presentations and demonstrations to prospects
  • Understand user requirements and preparation of solution proposals
  • Understand the needs and pains of the customer and then to link them to a set of solutions
  • Higher Diploma / Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, or related disciplines
  • Strong analytical, communication, presentation skills and consulting skills that enable the individual to take a leadership role within their assigned opportunities
