We have 10 medical laboratories across the region, more than 200 collection sites, and a team of nearly 1000 people who provide quality care to patients, and accurate and timely results to medical practitioners.

About the position:

We are seeking expressions of interest for Casual Respiratory Specimen Collectors to work across various locations in and around Perth, specifically between Mandurah to Joondalup. In this role you will be collecting respiratory samples in full PPE, for which training will be provided. You will be working within respiratory clinics, drive-through collection sites and visiting patients at various locations. A current driver’s license is a requirement as is the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

About you:

  • Experience in pathology collection, with a high level of sample-taking skills
  • Previous demonstrated experience delivering exceptional patient care
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
  • A high rate of accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Ability to interpret medical or clinical information
  • Ability to work flexible hours as required, including weekends and public holidays

It will be considered highly advantageous for applicants to hold the following qualifications or skills:
  • Certificate III in Pathology Collection
  • HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse testing
  • Current First aid certificate
  • Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office
