To support our strong pipeline of work, we are inviting an experienced Senior Electrical Designer to join our core team.

To support our strong and increasing pipeline of work, we are inviting an experienced Senior Electrical Designer to join our core team.

As a full time employee or contractor, you will be reporting to the Drafting Manager. The successful candidate will be delivering design and drafting solutions for a wide range of different projects.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Translating project scope and basis of design into conceptual designs.
  • Proficiency in developing detailed design drawings for engineering projects, such as general layouts, single line diagrams, block diagrams, schematics, terminations, cable schedules etc.
  • As-building of plant before project commencement and/or at project completion.
  • Ability to review vendor design details to complete required design interface.
  • Liaising with project team members on project drafting requirements and progress reporting.
  • Ensure design complies with company procedures, client requirements as well as industry and Australian standards.
  • Participate and contribute in design review and risk assessment workshops.
  • Occasional site visits for client engagement, scope reviews and as-building of installations.
  • Ability to deliver high quality works to meet project schedule and budget requirements.
  • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment with excellent personal time management skills

Experience and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years relevant design working experience in Major Industrial Projects or sites
  • Associate diploma in Electrical Drafting
  • MicroStation and/or AutoCAD experience
  • Experience in industrial electrical, communications and control systems


  • Design drafting capabilities
  • MicroStation / AutoCAD experience
  • Site as-building experience
  • Recent BHP and/or RTIO experience

Working requirements
  • Ability to work outside of business hours when required
  • Australian residency or possession of a valid visa with work entitlement in Australia
  • Recent National Police Check (within 6 months)
