TEN Recruitment have been asked to recruit a Works Manager. Our client is a leading service provider of all aspects of Fire protection.

They are looking for a Works Manager to manage the end-to-end delivery of all routine service and reactive works within the remote service department. You will show a positive and proactive attitude to all aspects of the role and be a keen problem solver.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in management or supervisory capacity in similar environment.
  • Trades Qualification
  • Construction White Card.
  • Proven knowledge of all Acts, Regulations and other standards that apply to this position.
  • Excellent industry networks and ability to convert good relationships into new business opportunities
  • Overall responsibility for the financial viability of the Remote Services division including but not limited to cost management, budgeting, accurate estimating, and maximising revenue streams.
  • Review and set performance expectations for direct reports, monitor performance against these standards, and take action where appropriate.
  • Complete all works with a focus on providing quality, efficient and reliable services and provide input on continuous improvement initiatives, to ensure company development.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all service-related works including but not limited quoting, procuring, delivery, reporting and invoicing.
  • Manage all service request activity and workload for designated team.
  • Coordinates and schedules technician’s daily activities.
  • Process service purchase orders and invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Managing resources and materials to ensure completion of assigned tasks.
  • Manage estimating activities to achieve profitable and acceptable results including the review and approvals of all Remote service quotes.
  • Monitor variations & claims to ensure they are documented, agreed upon and approved before any work is carried out.
  • Reporting to Senior Management on finances, risk and business development activity.
