The Division

The Strategic Transport Planning team within the Customer Strategy and Technology Division leads the development of long-term, multi-modal strategies, plans and policies across NSW. We leverage data and insights, implement new technologies, drive innovation and build partnerships to provide customer-centred solutions.

The opportunity

Right now, we have opportunities for 2 Business Support Officers (1 x Temporary full-time and 1 x Permanent full-time) to join our Strategic Transport Planning team. This role coordinates complex ministerial correspondence, parliamentary products, briefing notes, GIPAs and divisional reports in relation to specific projects, initiatives and issues - ensuring that submissions are timely, have been developed in accordance with government guidelines, and have appropriate signoffs.

The Business Support Officer also provides a broad range of high quality business and operational services, including safety, HR and reporting to support the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the branch. The position sits within the Program Management Office in Strategic Transport Planning and reports to the Business Manager.

About You

You are a highly experienced Business Support Officer with extensive experience drafting and coordinating Ministerial and Parliamentary correspondence looking for an opportunity to demonstrate your strong organisational skills, good eye for detail and high quality work.

It is essential that the candidate has a strong understanding of government policies and procedures, is experienced with GIPA requests, house folder notes, budget estimates and possesses the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders within the Strategic Transport Planning division while maintaining high levels of confidentiality.

Salary And Benefits

The salary for this position is TfNSW Grade 6 ($92,982 - $102,280) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
