Cardiac Cath Lab – Critical Care Nurse


Western Cardiac Cath labs are some of the busiest in Melbourne offering acute and elective coronary intervention and electrophysiology services. We also provide a 24 hour on call service for acute myocardial infarct patients.


We have a passion for research and strive for use of current therapies to provide best care and pioneered a 24/7 cardiogenic shock programme in 2019 making us the first in Victoria to use the Impella cardiac pump device for this purpose. The department is supported by both Coronary and Intensive care units and a Cardiac diagnostic unit. This positon is Permanent Part Time

  • Successful completion of Bachelor of Nursing

Ward 2A Sunshine Hospital operates 36 beds for patients requiring acute aged care and geriatric evaluation and management. The unit operates an inter professional practice model in partnership with geriatric medicine, nursing, allied health, ancillary services and our volunteer team. Ward 2A has a strong interface with the Emergency Department and many speciality areas.

This Program is an 8 month part time position commencing end June 2021.


The program offers 4 structured study days, with the initial 2 weeks as supernumerary to help familiarise yourself with the environment.
