What You Will Be Doing

The NDIS Children’s Physiotherapy Clinical Lead provides expert clinical services to NDIS eligible children across the mild to severe delay or disability continuum from birth to 18 years. The role provides clinical professional leadership to the physiotherapists in collaboration with NDIS Children’s Team Leader. Key responsibilities include team clinical capacity building, clinical supervision and clinical professional leadership based on best practice and evidence based principles. The position reports operationally to the NDIS Program Manager and professionally to the Head of Physiotherapy. Occasional out of hours work may be required each term.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordination of NDIS Children’s physiotherapy clinical services in consultation with Team Leader and Program Manager.
• Deliver expert, sensitive and evidence based Physiotherapy interventions, and multidisciplinary care within a family centred practice framework to children with developmental delays and disabilities
• Actively contribute to Peninsula Health organisation–wide NDIS Services leadership structures and service development.
• Contribute to development of appropriate multidisciplinary practices across the membership of the NDIS Children’s Services.
What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
• Extensive clinical experience and expertise in child development delay and disability physiotherapy
• Established skills and commitment to working in child-centred and family-focused practices including skills in working with vulnerable and disadvantaged families
• High level leadership skills
• Highly competent analytical and report writing skills
• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
