This is a great opportunity to play a key role in providing quality investigative practice and advice to the Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD), in the regulation and quality assessment of early childhood education and care services.

Location: Melbourne CBD office / Conducting investigation visits / Flexible work location.

Quality Assessment and Regulation Division

Quality Assessment and Regulation Division (QARD) licenses and regulates about 4,600 early childhood education and care services operating across Victoria. We strive to be a best practice regulator and use a range of strategies to deliver regulatory outcomes. Our role is to ensure service operators provide safe, high-quality learning environments for children attending their services.

About the Role

Senior Investigations Officer

Tenure: Ongoing

Employment Type: Full Time

An exciting opportunity exists for a senior investigator with experience conducting compliance and investigation activities in a regulated environment, to provide quality investigative practice and advice to the QARD workforce, in the regulation and quality assessment of education and care services.

The Senior Investigator leads and manages serious and complex investigations, provides advice and recommendations on investigations, sanctions and compliance activities and assists in training and investigative capacity building activities to support the regulatory workforce and the education and care sector to meet the objectives of the relevant legislation and regulations. The position requires comprehensive knowledge of the broader regulatory environment as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

This is a full time, ongoing position, at the VPS5 level. The role involves travel through the State, including regional areas and metropolitan suburbs, and will at times, include overnight stays. The Investigations team office is based in Melbourne CBD.
