Job Description

At Atomic212 we are always looking to strengthen our organization by adding the best available talent to our staff. We are a team of 120 people with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Darwin and Brisbane.

We’re seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist reporting to the People & Culture Director to help us source, identify, screen, and hire individuals for various roles in our company.

Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, 4-5 years experience in talent acquisition ideally within a media agency or group holding company, proficiency in Applicant Tracking System Smart Recruiter or similar, and the ability to devise & execute sourcing strategies to find potential applicants. This part time role requires a candidate with excellent interpersonal skills to manage internal stakeholders, external recruitment partners and most importantly potential candidates.

Objectives of this Role

  • Execute the hiring strategy of the organization to ensure our teams consist of a diverse set of qualified individuals aligned to our culture and values
  • Ensure the staffing needs of the company are being met
  • Devise and implement sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants, such as employer branding initiatives
  • Implement end-to-end candidate hiring and onboarding processes to ensure a positive experience
  • Form close relationships with hiring managers to ensure clear candidate/interviewer expectations.


  • Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs in different areas and departments
  • Determine selection criteria for candidates by liaising with managers and other members of staff
  • Source applicants through online channels, such as LinkedIn and other professional networks. Communicate to the team to encourage referrals
  • Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
  • Create job ads and manage workflow through tracking system
  • Identify and shortlist the most suitable talent from available candidates. Manage communication with all candidates
  • Brief recruiters as necessary and manage workflow and comms with pace and precision
  • Assess candidates’ information, including cover letter and screening questions, CVs, visa details
  • Plan & interview against selection process including screening calls. All interviews via Google Meet
  • Set up interviews with candidates and hiring managers
  • Interview all candidates with hiring managers ensuring the Atomic story is presented and that candidate questions are answered
  • Provide follow up notes after all interviews in the tracking system
  • Manage reference checks for internally sourced candidates
  • Reach out to Universities for graduate and intern talent pipeline. Posts jobs to job boards
  • Keep records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders
  • Update master candidate database and provide updates to managers on status of jobs
  • Assist with onboarding process ensuring all paperwork is saved to staff files and onboarding platform.
