The Opportunity

The TAFE Student Data Improvement Lead is responsible for leading the eReporting and VSL & Higher Education reporting teams. The role collaborates with partners in Corporate and across the regions in order to continuously improve reporting processes and data quality. Operational management of Entitlement revenue under the Smart and Skilled contract and related reporting and analysis are key responsibilities. The role will have a critical change management focus during ongoing changes to TAFE NSW’s student management systems in ensuring that reporting and funding are not impacted. This role has a high level of engagement with a range of senior internal and external TAFE NSW stakeholders.

About you

Your ability to lead through change management will be crucial, as you standardise processes and procedures across all regions, aligned with the goals of One TAFE. You will possess extensive experience in system implementation, process improvement, and data analysis and forecasting. You will be able to thoughtfully engage stakeholders, considering their requirements when resolving complex project management issues. Your understanding of, and experience in, revenue management will drive the improvement of TAFE’s data processing and analysis and forecasting systems.

Additional requirements:

  • A degree qualification in a related field or equivalent significant experience
  • Be innovative and have the ability to influence and lead change
  • Be passionate and driven in continuous improvement
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills as you will be communicating information to a number of stakeholders, both internal and external, and in multiple levels of the organisation
