About the Opportunity

Murrumbidgee Local Health District delivers a number of healthy ageing programs for community dwelling residents. The Active Ageing Health Promotion Officer will plan, coordinate, deliver and report on the NSW Ministry of Health Stepping On and Healthy and Active for Life (HAL), Active Aging Programs as per agreed funding deliverables and LHD community need.

The position will work closely with NSW Ministry of Health, Centre for Population Health and Stepping On and HAL/Active Aging Program facilitators to deliver the programs across the LHD to ensure the Murrumbidgee Local Health District meets performance targets, within budget. The position may require delivering the Stepping On and HAL Program/s as a program facilitator.

The position will also lead the implementation of the MLHD Physical Activity Leaders Network, a volunteer led healthy ageing program for community older adults.
