An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Clinical Physiotherapist with a strong interest in and commitment to Aquatic Physiotherapy/Hydrotherapy and musculoskeletal practice to join the very experienced and dedicated team at Royal North Shore Hospital.

Where you'll be working

Royal North Shore Hospital and Ryde Hospital. Primary site is Royal North Shore Hospital. Hydrotherapy pool facility is located at Ryde Hospital with travel to deliver aquatic physiotherapy required approximately 3 days a week.

What you'll be doing

Managing and delivering aquatic physiotherapy to predominately musculoskeletal patients of Royal North Shore Hospital using the Ryde Hospital GRC Hydrotherapy facility. Teaching and supporting junior physiotherapists on rotation , physiotherapy assistants , students and volunteers.

Providing land based physiotherapy as part of the outpatient physiotherapy team at RNS.

  2. Full registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia. Evidence of extensive clinical experience, Evidence of extensive clinical experience as a Physiotherapist.
  3. Provide evidence of proficient written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to liaise with novice and experienced health professionals and external service providers. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
  4. Demonstrated ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement activities or service evaluation process. Experience in clinical teaching and supervision of students, level 1/2 Allied Health Professionals and/or Allied Health Assistants.
  5. Demonstrated proficiency in ability to work autonomously with limited supervision. Have the ability to prioritise work, manage a demanding workload, apply high level reasoning skills and have independent professional judgement.
  6. Demonstrated proficient skills and knowledge in the provision of current physiotherapy practice. A strong commitment to an evidence-based service to provide for consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, case management, intervention, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
  7. Demonstrated capability to manage and deliver aquatic physiotherapy services including hydrotherapy facility requirements.
