Remuneration for this position is dependant on qualification:

Administration Officer Level 3: $59,763.25 - $61,730.9 per annum
Administration Officer Level 4: $63,408.44 - $64,936.23 per annum
Medical Records Administrator (Incremental): $61,929 - $81,085 per annum

To be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have an Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.

Responsible for the accurate and timely coding of inpatient episodes of care.

Medical Records Administrator (Incremental)

How to Apply

To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.

  1. Completion of a recognised coding course (HIMAA or OTEN) or tertiary qualification in Health Information Management or experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience using ICD-10-AM/ ACHI classification with knowledge of current Australian Coding Standards.
  3. Demonstrated experience using Patient Administration Systems and other electronic medical record systems.
  4. Demonstrated experience using the 3M Codefinder.
  5. Demonstrated attention to detail and proven ability to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
  6. Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
  8. Understanding of Diagnosis Related Groups as per activity based funding principles and their application within the health system.
