About the Role

An opportunity has become available for proactive individuals to jointhe People & Culture team as a Safety and Wellbeing Advisor.

Reporting to the Senior Advisor Safety and Wellbeing team, youwill provide ongoing operational delivery ofquality professional consulting and advice on a range of services within thespecialist areas of Work Health & Safety (WHS).

Working in a supportive and dynamic team, you will have the opportunityto gain exposure to a variety of safety related systems, processes and will beexpected to partner closely with the business with a large emphasis on customerrelationships and service.

Your main duties will include:

  • Provide advice and support to managers and employees in management of WHS risks and liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders to foster consultation in risk mitigating activities and support the organisation’s strategic agenda on health, safety and wellbeing.
  •  Provide support to managers, workers, and consultative groups to enhance their awareness of WHS and promote compliance to legislative obligations
  • Develop and foster internal and external business relationships to manage WHS risks, and processes to elicit positive outcomes and enhancement of the organisation’s safety management system
  • Provide expertise in the review of WHS procedure and practice to enhance the efficacy of systems
  • Coordinate the exchange of information relevant to legislative updates and innovations within industry to foster the adaptability of the organisation’s Safety Management System
  • Support the recover at work to achieve effective and efficient outcomes throughout the Return to Work process
  • review and plan WHS strategies and training needs
  • Participate in hazard and risk identification, review and action strategies in a timely manner

To be successful in this role youwill demonstrate:

  • Experience in providing Work Health & Safety (WHS) advice and recommending strategy
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WHS.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus with the ability to provide support in a professional manner
  • Ability to work with a diverse team
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication both verbal and written skills, report writing and documentation
  • Passion and enthusiasm in driving strong safety culture

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role startingat 97,443 base plus superannuation
