The Opportunity

ed within Council’s People & Culture department, you will be responsible for providing support and coordination to the Organisational Design & Development (OD&D) work unit and the broader department. You will have a key focus on learning and development administration, as well as providing support on a range of projects under the Moonee Valley City Council people strategy.

  • Responsible for the smooth running of day to day coordination and administration duties;
  • Coordination and communication of Council’s Corporate training calendar;
  • Manage the coordination of training events including venue, catering and participant bookings;
  • Management of Council’s online learning system;
  • Delivery of online and face to face training including staff orientation;
  • Maintain accurate training records and compliance items for all staff using Council systems; and,
  • Set up and facilitate staff use of the performance management system.

& Experience
  • Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, L&D, HR or a related field. Or lesser formal qualifications with relevant work experience commensurate with the requirements of this position;
  • Demonstrated competence in word processing, data entry, data bases and spreadsheets (specifically Microsoft Office suite of applications);
  • Experience in Chris21 and Content Manager (TRIM) would be advantageous;
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey appropriate information to relevant audiences; and,
  • Demonstrated professional work ethic regarding resource management and maintaining confidentiality working with sensitive and private information.
