Job Overview: We have a great opportunity for an experienced senior accountant who has an interest in providing their expertise to a multi-national professional services firm. Your day-to-day role will involve executing a variety of financial procedures, primarily focused on processing transactions, reviewing ledgers and subledgers for accuracy, and performing month-end, quarterly and year-end closings across multiple countries within the European and Middle East Region.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare month end close procedures for companies in multiple countries.
  • Prepare country specific reporting packs.
  • Undertake P&L and Balance Sheet analysis.
  • Prepare reconciliations and identify areas needing investigation.
  • Resolve identified processing issues.
  • Maintain General Journal and Transactional records in Workday.
  • Process supplier invoices through to payment.
  • Reconcile bank lines throughout the period, assuring transactions are accurately and timely recorded in ledgers.
  • Support the Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, Billing, Accounts Receivables, Accrual, Intercompany and Reporting functions.
  • Support local offices with operational results, project accounting and reporting queries.
  • Collate and provide information for tax filings and local audits.
  • Understand federal, state and local tax regulations. Co-ordinate with preparers and assure tax compliance.


  • Education level. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, CPA or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience. 5+ years of transactional accounting and month end close experience
  • Specific skills.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MSOffice applications with strong Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong team player requiring little oversite, able to multi-task and willing to take on other tasks and projects as needed.
  • Detailed experience with Accounts Payable, Journals, Reconciliations, Month End Processing, Fixed Asset Accounting, variance analysis, reporting, Tax, IFRS & GAAP.
  • Personal characteristics. Attention to detail. Team player. Ability to work across multiple cultures.
  • System Experience. Workday Financial Management preferred but not required
  • Languages. English proficiency. Multi-lingual (e.g. Polish, German) preferred but not required.
